Research action plan-master schedule

This is my action plan sorry it is so small not sure why or how to change . If anyone has any helpful hints, I would be very appreciative.

week 2 action research

I am finding that the recommended text is coming in quite handy. It is easy to read and is something you can take back with you and use. I have already shared some of my ideas and proposals for an action research plan with my administrator. She agrees we need to improve parent involvement/ communications, but she has her heart set on me working on the master schedule with her. I have had some experience with creating schedules for paras. This is just on the grander scheme of things with more factors and variables to consider.

Action Research

Action research is an effective way principals can stay focused and familiar with their campus needs. You are truly becoming a part of the learning community with the desire to help it grow and participate in it's progress and continual improvement. In doing this a principal becomes aware of her own professional needs and areas of growth to become a better instructional leader and campus administrator. I learned that action research can be such a benefit to everyone involved. Out of all the eight steps I feel that one, setting the foundation and four engaging in self reflection seems to be the most difficult.

Setting the foundation is one of the hardest things to do when addressing the faculty. Change is hard for everyone, so if you don't have everyone on board or at least everyone aware of your ideas and plans your setting out to fail. Communication or lack their of seems to always interfere when our campus begins a new initiative. I feel that setting a good foundation is crucial to success.

Reflection also is difficult to achieve. There never seems to be time to stop and discuss how things are going just what we are going to do next.

I think learning more about action research and following the steps of the process is going to be a successful and helpful way to achieve our campus goals and meet our students needs.
